Suu Kyi’s party to boycott general elections

The party of democratic fighter, Suu Kyi’s is known as the national league for democracy (NLD). The NLD is the biggest opposition party in Myanmar. The party has announced the non participation in election on Monday. The Suu Kyi is a noble peace laureate and wants a non participation. The military lead political process will not see the role of NLD.

The party had won the election during 1990 and did not have the authority to rule. The NLD was being pushed to the landslide said entire party leader. The unanimous vote from the central executive committee has made the NLD take this decision. The law of the election has been unfair and unjust hence the party is not participating. Election has been dismissed widely ads a sham and had a five decades of army rule.

The Myanmar country is an isolated country with a rich source of gas, timber gems and south East Asian post. A six days thinking by senior party members has lead to this decision. The Suu Kyi has spent the past 15 years in detention the party may further face dissolution if it does not register. The party will live with the people and the welfare activities will continue said a party member.
