Indian Rupee symbol on new key boards

Only some months before Indian rupee got a symbol like the US dollars. But until now the symbol is not available on a computer keyboard but Indians will get that symbol soon. Three positions on the keyboard has been emptied by the department of information technology (DIT). The new rupee symbol will be inserted into the three positions which is emptied.
By the month end of August the the position of the Indian rupee will be finalized reported the Union Cabinet. The feedback from the stakeholders and the participating companies have been asked for and then the position will be finalized. The three positions of the keyboard which are zeroed has not yet been disclosed by the DIT official.
The rupee symbol however cannot be achieved at a single keystroke like the $ but needs two keys at a single time. The major companies involved in the symbolic matter are Microsoft,Red Hat,IBM,Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Wipro. The new application is designed such a way that the symbol can be typed without it present on the keyboard. The symbol will soon be available on mobile too such a decision is under decision. The Unicode and the Cabinet have discussed and the symbol will be a code which will be used globally for representing the Indian Money.
